George Fisher
Born into a missionary family, George Fisher has lived four years in South Africa and has traveled and worked in forty countries. With a background in educational and international nonprofit organizations, George has served in leadership capacities in development, major gifts, estate planning, event management, and alumni and public relations.

After serving Oral Roberts University for twenty-eight years, George resigned his position as vice president of university relations and development to join The Westfall Group, an Atlanta-based major-gift consulting company for Christian nonprofit organizations. Following that season, he served as vice president of development for Promise Keepers, headquartered in Denver, Colorado.

George came to Wycliffe Bible Translators in 2007 when he recognized the importance of reaching languages that have no Scripture. "There was a prompting in my heart to reach the Bibleless people when I realized nearly one-third of the world's seven thousand people groups do not have even one word of Scripture in their heart language," George said. With a master's degree in nonprofit management, George currently serves as director of development and gift planning.

George has three wonderful grown children and lives with his beautiful wife of thirty-five years in Orlando, Florida.
